Fire On Air is a label that produces arthouse films and media projects. Fire On Air consists of Christin Berg, artist/filmmaker and Jakob Stark, lighting cameraman.
Christin formed Fire On Air while shooting her film Fire Walks with Me with Jakob Stark as dop and producer in 2018.
She lives and works in Berlin and Paris. She completed her studies at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main as a master student of Douglas Gordon, as well as at the Fachhochschule Hannover in the department of scenography and at the Slade School of Fine Art in London in the department of new media. Her work is presented internationally: Citè internationale des arts Paris, Musée du Louvre, Kunsthalle Hamburg, MMK Frankfurt and others. She received the Paris Studio Scholarship of the Hessische Kulturstiftung as well as scholarships from the Akademie der Künste Berlin, WERKLEITZ Halle, the European Cultural Foundation or Skaftfell Center for Visual Art Island.
Jakob, born 1982 in Hanseatic City of Rostock, lives as a lighting cameraman between Paris and Berlin. His most recent work is the six-part film series Art Crimes on the German-French channel Arte. For this he received the German Camera Award 2023.

Special narrative structures, extraordinary and impressive cinematic imagery as well as an unusual aesthetic that reflects life in all its facets are our goal in our international cooperation with filmmakers and artists. The art of filmmaking is subject to constant change and we as a film production company accept the task as filmmakers to offer the viewer new perspectives of seeing and feeling. Film can change the world, and we can save the world. Fire On Air has produced fictional films in collaboration with Christin Berg and Jakob Stark since 2018. Mostly without studio technology but with the help of natural conditions such as fog, rain, storms, fire, steam, darkness and the spectrum of sunlight, Fire On Air has been created films full of cinematic imagery and with a strong artistic signature. We continue on this path with international partners from the world of art, science, architecture and design. We see filmmaking as a sustainable task in the artistic, entertaining and technical-scientific sense. We want to see artistically valuable film works represented in the great cinemas and festivals of this world.
